Step-by-Step: How to Connect to Hyundai Bluetooth®

Connecting your device to your in-vehicle Bluetooth® is a quick and simple process. Refer to the following instructions regarding how to connect to Hyundai Bluetooth®. If you’re wondering how to reset your Hyundai Bluetooth® connection, these instructions also apply.

  • Turn your Hyundai vehicle on
  • Make sure the vehicle is in “Park” (you cannot connect to the Bluetooth® in motion anyhow)
  • Hit the “Bluetooth®” icon on the dash display
  • Press “Bluetooth® Connection”
  • Press “Add New”
  • On your phone, go to your settings and activate the Bluetooth® functionality
  • You will now see your model (Sonata Santa Fe, Tucson, Elantra, etc.) as an available Bluetooth device you can connect to
  • If you are prompted with a passkey, simply enter the numeric code shown on the vehicle display screen into your phone. You may or may not have to perform this step.
  • A message on the display screen will confirm that your mobile device has successfully paired with your Hyundai Bluetooth®
  • You may be prompted at this point to connect/sync your phone contacts. Follow the prompts accordingly if you wish to do so!
