2020 Hyundai Sonata driving on Reno city street
Our Reno customers love the new Hyundai Sonata. It’s not hard to see why. There’s a whole lot to like about this sedan, like the Dinamica suede/leatherette seats, the 10.25 inch navigation screen, 191 horsepower, wireless device charging, and a ton of safety features. But do you know what our customers seem to be the most excited about? The Sonata fuel economy! Of course, depending on the trim of the Sonata, mileage will vary (but only slightly). So, let’s break down the EPA-estimated Hyundai Sonata mpg by trim, including the Sonata hybrid.

2020 Hyundai Sonata Fuel Economy by Trim Level

There are lots of impressive things about the 2020 Sonata mileage. One of them is the fuel economy you can get out of a single tank of gas. The EPA-estimated Hyundai Sonata mpg differs slightly by trim, so we break that down below. The Sonata hybrid version of the Limited trim doesn’t come out until Spring of 2020, so as of this writing, we don’t have the EPA-estimated gas mileage for it, yet.

  • Highway – 38 mpg
  • Combined – 32 mpg

Sonata SEL* (popular with Sparks drivers)

  • City – 27 mpg

  • Combined – 31 mpg

Sonata SEL Plus*

  • Highway – 36 mpg
  • Combined – 31 mpg

Sonata Limited*

  • City – 27 mpg

  • Combined – 31 mpg

Sonata Hybrid (available on the Limited trim)

  • 680 miles of range

2020 Sonata Hybrid Information

A lot of our Fernley customers are eagerly awaiting the release of the Sonata Hybrid version of the limited. As we said, we don’t yet have the fuel economy rating for this Sonata. Mileage that can be achieved from a full charge of the battery, however, has been estimated at 680. While the exact EPA-estimated Hyundai Sonata mpg for the hybrid has not yet been released, we know about plenty of other impressive details about this sedan. Here are just a few:

  • Three years of complimentary maintenance
  • Available roof solar panels that can increase driving range by about two miles a day
  • Hyundai Digital Key – remotely unlock and start your car from your smartphone
  • A largest in class hi-res 10.25-inch touchscreen
  • Blind spot view monitor – actually see what’s in your blind spot via a monitor on your dash
